Apart from that, you will have to be ready with your camera when you travel in this region. Sandalwood forests in Marayur is a unique spot and bison can be sighted in this region quite often.

Marayur jaggery is world famous. The pure jaggery made in the sugarcane farms of Marayur is of high demand. Make it a point to purchase some Marayur Jaggery and local fruits from Kanthallur, the vegetable and fruit capital of Kerala.
